Evolution Dance Company is a dance studio located in Selkirk Manitoba, that offers quality instruction in a fun and encouraging setting. Our mission is to provide quality dance education while inspiring our students to be their best selves. We provide a safe and child-centred environment to encourage our students to explore dance with qualified, nurturing instructors.
We are proud to be a licensed member of More Than Just Great Dancing!®, a licensed affiliation of dance studios that subscribe to a higher standard of dance instruction and management principles. As part of a dynamic network of studios worldwide, MTJGD provides leadership training, curricula and quality programs to its affiliate studios. Most importantly and in line with our mission statement, MTJGD is a commitment to provide MORE than just great dance instruction. MTJGD dancers go beyond technique to develop important life skills, learning to be respectful and conscientious young people who share their gifts and talents with the community!

As members of the Imperial Society for Teachers In Dancing (ISTD), our ballet classes follow the same syllabus ensuring students are meeting the worldwide standard. OUR PROGRAMS
Recreational Program
Our recreational program at EDC is a program designed to inspire our dancers to become their best selves while providing excellence in dance training throughout their classes. We take pride in offering a professional, fun and well-rounded recreational program for our students. Our goal is for our students to build technique, confidence and performance skills, while forming lifelong friendships. Students ages 4 and under participate in our Preschool programs that are second-to-none. Beginning at age 5, students may begin to select multiple classes and build a schedule for themselves based on their interests. Classes are offered in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Acro, Broadway Bound and “4 The Boys” for ages 5 and up. Students ages 3+ perform at our year-end recital at the Centennial Concert Hall in May! From ages 2 to 102, we have a class for you!
Competitive Program
Evolution’s Competitive Program is an exciting and challenging program for students who are dedicated and committed to excellence in dance. Dancers for the teams are chosen by the competitive instructors and demonstrate a high level of technique and performance skills as well as an exemplary attitude.
Teams may compete in a variety of competitions throughout the year. To ensure each team is prepared for competitions, dancing on a team requires a special commitment and dedication from each dancer. EDC competitive dancers learn skills earlier, at an accelerated pace. Set team classes are focused on growth and give dancers the opportunity to develop their skills and technique while learning and perfecting their performance skills. EDC competitive dancers perform at various competitions per season as well as our annual spring recital. For more information contact us today!
